Publication Ethics
The ethics of scientific publication is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, review partners, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values in publication,that is
- Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications;
- Justice, which is to give writing rights to those who have the right as writers;
- Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.
- Consistency, which refers to the existing writing systematics and good citation style (citation).
- In the citation, the authors are directed in the use of mendeley software.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Journal Manager
1. Determine the scope of knowledge, periodicality, and accreditation when needed.
- Determine the membership of the editorial board.
- Define the relationship between publishers, editors, review partners, and other parties in a contract.
- Maintain confidentiality, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and review partners.
- Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
- Review journals and convey them to authors, editorial boards, peer reviewers, and readers.
- Create code guidelines for editors and peer reviewers.
- Publish journals regularly.
- Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing.
- Build a network of cooperation and marketing.
- Prepare licensing and other legality aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor
1. Bringing together the needs of readers and writers,
- Strive to improve the quality of publications in a sustainable manner,
- Implement a process to ensure the quality of published written works,
- Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively,
- Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record,
- Professional in the process stages,
- The written work, content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author,
- Actively encourage writers, review partners, and members of the editorial board to improve quality,
- Encourage the assessment of journals if there are findings,
- Supporting initiatives in improvement
- Support initiatives to educate other researchers on publication ethics,
- Be wise to authors and review partners as well as improvement efforts to increase responsibility
- Having an open mind to new opinions or the views of others,
- Encourage writers, so that they can improve their writing until it is suitable for publication.
Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partner
1. Receive assignments from the editor to review the paper and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the feasibility of a paper
2. The reviewer should not conduct a review of the paper that involves him/herself, either directly or indirectly
3. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, inputs, and recommendations
4. Encourage writers to improve their writings
5. Review the written work that has been corrected in accordance with the standards that have been determined.
6. Written works are reviewed in a timely manner according to the systematics of writing
Duties and Responsibilities of the Author
1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors meet the criteria.
- Be collectively responsible in the content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
- Declare the origin of resources, either directly or indirectly.
- It should explain the urgency to the limitations and limitations of the research
- Respond to directions made by the review partners professionally and in a timely manner.
- Inform the editor if they will retract their paper.
