PENGARUH RASIO KEUANGAN DAN KEBIJAKAN DEVIDEN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN LABA PADA PERUSAHAAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA (BEI) PERIODE 2017-2021

Purpose: This study aims to examine and prove the effect of total asset turnover (TATO), current ratio (CR), net profit margin (NPM), debt to asset ratio (DAR), and dividend payout ratio (DPR) on profit growth in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017 to 2021. The study specifically focuses on companies within the food and beverage subsector.
Design/Methodology/approach: This study employs a quantitative research design with multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consists of 9 food and beverage companies listed on the IDX between 2017 and 2021. The variables in this study include Total Asset Turnover (X1), Current Ratio (X2), Net Profit Margin (X3), Debt to Asset Ratio (X4), and Dividend Payout Ratio (X5). Data were collected from secondary sources, specifically annual financial reports of the selected companies. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software to determine the impact of these variables on profit growth.
Findings: Total Asset Turnover (TATO) has a significant positive effect on profit growth. Current Ratio (CR) has no significant effect on profit growth. Net Profit Margin (NPM) has no significant effect on profit growth. Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) has no significant effect on profit growth. Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) has a significant positive effect on profit growth. Simultaneously, Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Current Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) do not significantly affect profit growth when analyzed together.
Research Implications: The results suggest that companies should focus on improving asset turnover and dividend policies to boost profit growth. This research provides insight into the factors that can influence profit growth in the food and beverage sector.
Originality / Value: This study contributes to the existing literature by providing an updated analysis of the effect of financial ratios on profit growth, specifically within the Indonesian manufacturing sector, with a focus on the food and beverage subsector. By analyzing multiple financial indicators, this research provides valuable insights for financial managers and investors seeking to optimize company performance.
