PERAN LEVERAGE DIMEDIASI PROFITABILITAS DAN SIZE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

Purpose― This study aims to determine and analyze the role of leverage as a mediator of profitability and size on firm value in LQ45 sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for the period 2019 to 2021.
Method— This study uses a quantitative approach. with the population and research sample used LQ45 sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2019- The 2021 period, using the purposive sampling method.The data analysis method in this study is the classical assumption test, path analysis, t test and coefficient of determination test.using the SPSS version 25 application
Finding— The results of this study found that, profitability has a significant effect on the value of the company. Firm size has no significant effect on firm value. Profitability and firm size through leverage as a mediating variable are unable to mediate against firm value
Implikasi— The practical implications of the results This research can help investors as decision making before investing related to profitability and company size through leverage as a mediating variable on firm value
Originality— As far as the results of the researchers' observations have not found similarities with previous researchers who used the ratio of return on investment in calculating profitability and price earning ratio in calculating firm value
