Abstract

Hospitals have a high risk of fire due to intensive electricity usage, flammable materials, and limited patient mobility. This research aims to analyze the fire prevention and suppression system at Rumah Sakit X Surabaya. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, documentation, and literature study. The results of the study show that Rumah Sakit X Surabaya already has an active fire protection system in the form of alarms, APAR (light fire extinguishers), hydrants, evacuation routes, and assembly points. However, there are still weaknesses in the maintenance of electrical installations and patient readiness for evacuation. It is concluded that the fire protection system is available, but needs strengthening in the aspects of technical maintenance and evacuation socialization.
