This study aims to identify the factors contributing to construction site accidents, sources of injury, and the most commonly affected body parts in a construction project managed by PT X in Gresik Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied using a case study method, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that human factors are the dominant cause of accidents, including negligence in using personal protective equipment (PPE), fatigue, and low compliance with safety procedures. Unsafe working conditions and lack of supervision further increase the risk of incidents. The most frequent injuries occur to the head, hands, and feet, mainly caused by falls from height, being struck by objects, and slips. These results highlight the urgent need to strengthen the implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) systems through consistent supervision, safety training, and a strong safety culture across all levels of construction projects.

Keywords: Construction project, occupational accidents, OSH, risk factors, work safety

Haflas Surur, Hasti Suprihatin Copyright (c) 2025 J-Sipil : Jurnal Teknologi dan Ilmiah Teknik Sipil dan Sains https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/472 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Drinking Water Quality at Refill Drinking Water Depots (DAMIU) in Malang City https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/479
The availability of safe and drinkable water is a crucial factor in public health. Refill drinking water (AMIU) from Refill Drinking Water Depots (DAMIU) is commonly chosen by the community due to its affordability and accessibility. However, the quality of water from DAMIU is still under scrutiny. This study aims to analyze the drinking water quality from 10 DAMIU units in Malang City based on physical, chemical, and biological parameters. A quantitative descriptive case study method was employed with grab sampling and laboratory testing. The results were compared to the Indonesian Health Ministry Regulation No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. The findings indicate that all samples met the chemical quality standards, and most complied with physical parameters such as odor, taste, temperature, and color. However, two depots exceeded the permissible limits for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and turbidity. In the biological test, four depots were contaminated with Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria, making the water unsafe for consumption. These results highlight the urgency of regular supervision and strict sanitation implementation in DAMIU operations. With proper management, DAMIU can serve as a safe and viable source of drinking water for the community.

Keywords: water quality, refill drinking water, DAMIU, TDS, E. coli
Aradhana Taqwanto, Bana Ervadius Copyright (c) 2025 J-Sipil : Jurnal Teknologi dan Ilmiah Teknik Sipil dan Sains https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/479 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 PERAN PESTISIDA ORGANIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEAMANAN PANGAN DAN RAMAH LINGKUNGAN https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/486
abstract

The excessive use of chemical pesticides in agriculture has caused various negative impacts on human health and the environment, such as harmful residues in food, pest resistance, and environmental pollution. Organic pesticides have emerged as a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative, with active ingredients derived from natural sources. This study aims to analyze the benefits of organic pesticides in enhancing food safety and environmental health through a literature review of 10 research journals. The findings indicate that organic pesticides can reduce chemical residues, maintain ecosystem balance, and improve the quality and sustainability of agriculture. Education and policy support are needed to promote broader adoption of organic pesticides among farmers. One of the problems often faced by farmers, especially vegetable growers are pests that can damage to crops. Farmers using chemical pesticides to control pests such as chemical pesticides sold in the market and is very effective in killing pests. However, the use of chemical pesticides, especially in the long term and constantly very dangerous. Alternative use of organic pesticides are much more environmentally friendly and non-toxic is a better solution to replace chemical pesticides. The specific objectives of this service activity is to provide adequate knowledge to vegetable farmers about the dangers of chemical pesticides and excess organic pesticides as well as to develop the potential of natural materials as raw material for making organic pesticides that can increase crop yield and economic value of vegetables. The results of this activities showed the public were keen to use organic pesticides instead of chemical pesticides.

Organic pesticides, food safety, environmental health, sustainable agriculture, chemical residues, farmer education.
erwin umbu opang, Hasti Suprihatin Copyright (c) 2025 J-Sipil : Jurnal Teknologi dan Ilmiah Teknik Sipil dan Sains https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/486 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Analisis Inovasi Teknologi dalam Pengurangan Sampah Plastik https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/655
The issue of plastic waste has become a global concern due to the serious environmental implications of plastic's difficulty in breaking down naturally. If not managed properly, accumulated plastic can contaminate soil, water, and air. Addressing this issue requires innovative approaches for more efficient, effective, and sustainable waste processing and recycling. Technologies such as automated sorting, chemical recycling, and converting plastic into fuel or construction materials offer solutions that reduce reliance on raw materials and minimize waste. However, technology alone is insufficient. Public participation and government policy support are essential to establishing an integrated waste management system. Continuous promotion of education and public awareness about the importance of sorting and recycling is necessary. A more holistic approach to plastic waste management requires collaboration between technological innovation, active community involvement, and supportive regulations. This approach not only protects the environment but also creates economic opportunities through the recycling industry and the circular economy. Innovation in waste processing is a key strategy for sustainable development.
Irsyad Immaduddin, Hasti Suprihatin Copyright (c) 2025 J-Sipil : Jurnal Teknologi dan Ilmiah Teknik Sipil dan Sains https://journal.univgresik.ac.id/index.php/j-sipil/article/view/655 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700
