Abstract

The JKF-159CE packing machine is used by PT. X. The operation of this machine utilizes an air pressure system designed to distribute products into paper bags for packaging. There were challenges identified during the packaging process where the machine could not meet the specified target of 16,000 kg per shift due to clumping issues, causing production delays. Packaging took 41-45 seconds per cycle. To address this, researchers proposed a solution by adding a rotary motor to stabilize circulation within the packing machine. Research findings concluded that adding the rotary motor minimized clumping during packaging, reducing the time per cycle to 35 seconds. Consequently, production targets were not only met but exceeded, with each machine able to produce zinc stearate ranging from 17,000 to 20,000 kg per shift. This improvement helps minimize operational challenges during production, benefiting the workers involved.
