This research aims to design a plastic shredding machine with a production capacity of 20kg per hour. The plastic shredder is designed to reduce plastic waste and facilitate the recycling of plastic materials into smaller and more manageable sizes. This research adopts a design and optimization method for the machine system. The machine design includes the selection and arrangement of blades, the driving motor, as well as the cutting and shredding system for plastic materials. Furthermore, testing and performance evaluation of the plastic shredding machine were conducted to ensure its reliability and operational efficiency. The results of this research demonstrate that the designed plastic shredder successfully achieved the target production capacity of 20kg per hour. The use of specialized blades and an appropriate driving motor provided optimal plastic cutting and shredding results. The machine is capable of transforming plastic waste into small fragments, facilitating further processing. Performance testing of the machine showed its stability and high energy efficiency. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of high-capacity plastic shredding machines, thereby enhancing the efficiency of plastic waste recycling processes. It is expected that the findings of this research will provide a foundation for the future development of more efficient and environmentally friendly plastic shredding machines.
