Abstract

Novel is a literary work that a series of life events or human experiences in the form of fictional narratives. The writer takes the novel “Tuck Everlasting” written by Natalie Babbit to be analyzed in this study because there are many kinds of reactions carried out by the main character such as aggressive reactions, withdrawal reactions, and compromise reactions. In relation to this research, the writer intends to find out the main character frustrated reaction, and the most dominant frustrated reaction in the novel “Tuck everlasting” by Natalie Babbitt. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Sources the date are the results of the expression of feelings in the form of paragraphs in the novel. The process of data collection in this technique research is by reading and understanding the contents of the novel, categorizing the data, and organizing the data. the process of data analysis in this research is reading the data, understanding the data, and interpreting the data to make conclusions. The results of this study can provide an explanation related to the frustration experienced by the main character.
