Penguatan Literasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar Melalui English Fun Class Sebagai Model Pembelajaran Interaktif
Abstract
This study aims to strengthen literacy among elementary school students through the English Fun Class program as an interactive English learning model. The program utilizes play-based methods, storytelling, and audiovisual media to enhance students’ motivation and skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English. A mixed-method approach was used, collecting data through pre-tests, post-tests, classroom observations, and motivation questionnaires. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ English literacy, reflected in higher test scores and positive feedback from teachers and students. This interactive learning model effectively creates an engaging environment that stimulates active participation. In conclusion, English Fun Class can be considered an alternative teaching model for strengthening English literacy in elementary schools. The study recommends broader implementation of this model with adaptation to specific school contexts.
