ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN KINERJA SERVER LOKAL DAN CLOUD COMPUTING PADA SISTEM INFORMASI BERBASIS WEB
Abstract
Advancements in information technology are driving organizations to enhance the availability, performance, and flexibility of their IT infrastructure. On-premise servers face limitations regarding scalability, hardware maintenance, and rising operational costs when service loads increase. Cloud computing offers an alternative that enables more flexible, on-demand management of computing resources. This study aims to evaluate the migration of on-premise server infrastructure to the cloud, focusing on performance, scalability, and efficiency. An experimental approach was employed, involving measurements of the on-premise infrastructure prior to migration and the cloud infrastructure following migration. Testing parameters included response time, CPU and memory usage, network latency, availability, scalability, and resource utilization efficiency. The resulting data were analyzed comparatively to assess changes in performance and efficiency following the adoption of cloud computing. The findings are expected to illustrate the effectiveness of migrating from on-premise servers to a cloud environment and to inform strategies for managing IT infrastructure in a more flexible, scalable, and efficient manner. Furthermore, this study aims to serve as a reference for organizations making infrastructure migration decisions based on technical measurements and performance evaluations.
