PERAN INOVASI DALAM MEMPERPANJANG TAHAPAN MATURITY PRODUK PADA INDUSTRI RUMAHAN KERUPUK DI CERME
Abstract
Purpose- This study aims to analyze the role of innovation in extending the maturity stage of products in the home-based cracker industry in Cerme District, Gresik
Method- Employing a qualitative approach through a case study method, the research reveals that both product and packaging innovations are critical in sustaining product attractiveness and competitiveness in the market.
Finding- Innovations such as the introduction of new flavor variants and the development of more appealing packaging have contributed to market expansion and the prolongation of the product’s maturity phase. However, the implementation of such innovations faces significant barriers, particularly in terms of limited financial capital and human resource constraints.
Implication- The findings highlight the importance of collaborative support from stakeholders in providing access to funding and innovation-related training. These efforts are essential to foster business sustainability and competitiveness in traditional home industries.
